PVT and Asphaltene Study
It is required that we have a realistic physical model of our reservoir fluid sample(s) before using them in a reservoir simulation.
PVT study can be used to simulate experiments that have been performed in the lab on a set of fluid samples and then theoretical predictions can be made of any observations that were performed during a lab experiment, in order to match the accuracy of our fluid model. Any differences between the measured and calculated data are minimized using a regression facility which adjusts various Equation of State parameters. MTC experts can match the various PVT experiments based on their deep understanding of the thermodynamics.
We can perform these studies with common commercial software as well as our in house software i.e. PVT Pro.
Asphaltene Modeling The unique asphaltene modeling module of PVT Pro, provides a powerful tool for asphaltene precipitation prediction. This comprehensive package is an Equation-of-State (EOS) engineering tool which assists engineers to combine reliable fluid characterization procedures with robust and efficient computational algorithms to match fluid properties and experimental data. The regressed fluid parameters obtained by PVT Pro may be used to produce high quality input data for various reservoir, pipeline, production and process simulators.
The experts at MTC can model the asphaltene precipitation by the following models using the PVT Pro software and provide you with a deep perceptive of the asphaltene behavior of your sample:
